Public transport works when buses, bus rapid transit, taxis and rail form one connected network rather than separate lines. Rahyaft designs integrated public transport systems, assesses the feasibility of bus, taxi and rail schemes, designs BRT networks, and takes urban rail systems from feasibility to design. A large part of the work is reorganising and improving the services a city already runs.
Most of this work is done for municipalities and their transport and traffic organisations. Examples include the route study and design of two BRT lines in Shiraz for the Shiraz Transportation and Traffic Organization, the reorganisation of public transport in the Karaj metropolis for Karaj Municipality, and the feasibility study of rail transit for Urmia and its suburbs for the Urmia Transportation and Traffic Organization.
